Long videos can be hard to navigate. Scene detection breaks your video into meaningful segments, giving you a structured overview of what happens and when -- without watching the whole thing.

What Is a Scene?

A scene is a group of shots that together form a meaningful narrative unit. Think of it like chapters in a book. A single scene might cover "the product demo portion" of a keynote, or "the opening interview segment" of a documentary. Scenes represent the natural structure of your content.

Scenes vs. Shots vs. Clips

These three terms mean different things in StarZero Agents:

• Shots are individual camera takes -- each time the camera cuts, that's a new shot
• Scenes are groups of shots that form a meaningful section (like a chapter)
• Clips are selections you create for your own projects -- you decide where they start and end

How to Use Scene Detection

Simply ask StarZero Agents to break down your video:

• "Break this video into scenes and summarize each one"
• "Show me the scene structure of this recording"
• "What are the main sections of this video?"

What You Get

For each scene, StarZero Agents provides:

• A title giving the scene a descriptive name (e.g., "Product Demo" or "Opening Remarks")
• A summary describing what happens in that section
• A time range showing exactly when the scene starts and ends

This makes it easy to jump directly to the part you care about. For example, after seeing the scene breakdown you might say: "Take me to the scene about the product roadmap" or "Add the customer testimonial scene to my project."
