Searching Your Content
One of StarZero Agents's most powerful features is its ability to find exactly the moments you're looking for across your entire video library. No manual scrubbing, no tagging files by hand — just describe what you want, and StarZero Agents finds it.
How Search Works
You don't need special commands or a search syntax. Just type what you're looking for in plain English, the way you'd describe it to a colleague:
- "Find clips where someone is holding a coffee cup"
- "Show me the part where they talk about the product launch"
- "Find moments with a crowd cheering outdoors"
StarZero Agents figures out the best way to search based on what you ask for.
What Results Look Like
When StarZero Agents finds matching moments, it presents them as clickable clip labels with looping video previews. You can quickly scan through the results, watch previews, and decide which clips to keep or use in your project.
Results are ranked by relevance, so the best matches appear first.
Three Ways to Search
StarZero Agents offers three main search approaches, and it will often choose the right one automatically based on your query:
| Search Type | Best For | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Visual Search | Finding clips by what you see on screen | "Shots of a red car on a highway" |
| Transcript Search | Finding clips by what was said | "When they mention the quarterly revenue" |
| Unified Search | Combining visual and spoken criteria | "Someone presenting slides and saying 'next steps'" |
You can also explicitly ask for a specific search type if you want more control.
Search vs. Analysis
It's helpful to know the difference between searching and analyzing:
Search is for concrete, objective things — specific objects, spoken phrases, visible actions, identifiable settings. Things that are clearly either present or not.
Analysis is for subjective, interpretive things — the funniest moments, recurring themes, emotional tone, comparisons between videos, or creative suggestions.
If you're looking for "clips with a dog", that's a search. If you're asking "which clips would make the most engaging social media post", that's analysis.
Narrowing Your Scope
By default, StarZero Agents searches across all the content available in your current chat (your full library, or your pre-selected videos). You can narrow things further by:
- Pre-selecting specific videos before starting a chat
- Using @mentions to point to particular items
- Adding follow-up instructions like "From those results, only show clips from the first interview"
