Text Styles

Text styles are ready-made looks for your text overlays. Each style sets the color, weight, outline, shadow, and background of the text. Pick the one closest to the tone of your video, then adjust it as much as you like.

Browsing Styles

When you ask to add text or browse text styles, StarZero Agents opens a visual style gallery — the same kind of gallery used for caption presets. Each style is a card with a live preview, so you can see how it looks before applying it. Click a card to select it, optionally describe any changes you'd like (e.g. "use blue tones"), and hit Use to apply it to your project.

The words shown on each card are placeholders. Your own text takes their place when the style is applied.

Available Styles

Neon glow

Bright pink text with a matching glow around it. Bold and eye-catching. Great for nightlife, music, and high-energy social content.

Championship

Gold text with a black outline and a drop shadow. Loud and celebratory. Perfect for wins, scores, and big reveals.

Instagram

Black text on white rounded bars, one bar per line, in a clean rounded font. The familiar social-story look. Works well for headlines and short statements.

Gradient badge

White text on a rounded badge filled with an orange-to-pink gradient. Modern and friendly. A good pick for tags, announcements, and "breaking news" moments.

Highlighted word

White text with one word picked out in red. Simple and direct. Use it when a single word carries the point.

Cinematic title

Heavy off-white text with a thin dark outline and generous line spacing. Wide and dramatic. Suits titles, chapter cards, and openers.

Warning label

White text on a solid red box, kept to a single line. Urgent and hard to miss. Good for alerts, disclaimers, and "don't do this" moments.

Multicolor pop

Each word in its own color, with a thin black outline. Playful and energetic. Works well for lists, comparisons, and kids' or entertainment content.

Executive

White text on a dark navy rounded box. Formal and authoritative. Ideal for speaker names, corporate presentations, and news-style overlays.

Line bars

White text on dark rounded bars, one per line, each with a thin yellow border. Structured and readable over busy footage. Good for two-line captions and callouts.

Lower third

White text with a soft shadow and no background, aligned to the left and sitting at the bottom of its area. Understated and professional. Made for names, job titles, and locations.

Customization

A style is a starting point. When you select one in the gallery, describe the changes you'd like in the customization field — for example, "use blue tones" or "make it more subtle" — and StarZero Agents applies them on top of the style. You can also ask for changes in the chat at any time.

Things you can change:

  • Colors — any text color, outline color, and shadow color
  • Font — your own font, from a Google Fonts page or a direct link to a font file. In the gallery, expand Options and paste the link, or just give it in the chat. You can also ask for a lighter or heavier weight.
  • Background — a solid color or a gradient behind the text, drawn as one rounded box around the whole text or as a separate bar behind each line, with an optional border
  • Single words — give one word its own color, weight, outline, or shadow, as in the Highlighted word and Multicolor pop styles
  • Layout — left, center, or right alignment, the spacing between lines, how many lines the text may use, and all-uppercase or all-lowercase text

"Use the Executive style, but with a dark green background and our brand font: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Poppins"

"Make the word 'free' yellow."

The following are not available:

  • Animated text (movement, fade-in, typing effects)
  • Per-character styling (different colors or sizes for individual letters)
  • Background shapes other than a rounded box
  • Logo lockups or image-based overlays

For animated or fully designed text, ask for a motion graphic. For logos and images, see Overlays. You can also export your project to Premiere Pro using the Premiere Pro Export feature and add your text there.
