Premiere Pro Project Export
In addition to downloading your rendered video, StarZero Agents can export a project ZIP file that you can import into Adobe Premiere Pro. This lets you take your AI-assisted edit into a professional video editing environment for further refinement.
How to Export
After rendering a video, look for the "Download Premiere Pro project" button alongside the video player and download button in the chat. Click it to download a ZIP file containing the project and all associated assets.
What's Included in the ZIP File
The exported ZIP file contains everything you need to continue editing in Premiere Pro:
- FCP7 XML project file (
project.fcp7.xml) -- your full timeline in the FCP7 XML interchange format, which Premiere Pro can import directly via File > Import. - Original source files -- the video files used in your edit, bundled in the ZIP so Premiere Pro can link to them immediately without needing to relink media. Clips added from external URLs are downloaded and included alongside your library media.
- ASS captions -- any captions from your project, exported in ASS (Advanced SubStation Alpha) format. Premiere Pro doesn't import ASS directly, so you'll need to convert them to SRT first using a free tool like Subtitle Edit before importing.
- Custom text overlays -- text overlays you've added in StarZero Agents, exported as PNG images and placed on overlay tracks in the timeline.
- SVG overlays -- SVG graphics (animated or static) used as overlays are converted to ProRes 4444 video with transparency and placed on overlay tracks. Positioning, anchor points, and opacity are preserved as Basic Motion filter parameters, so your overlays appear exactly where you placed them.
- SVG timeline clips -- SVG graphics placed directly on the main video track are rendered to video and included in the timeline alongside your regular clips.
- Video overlays -- picture-in-picture and other video overlays are placed on overlay tracks with their in/out points, playback speed, and positioning intact. If you've animated an overlay's position or opacity with keyframes, those keyframes carry over as motion and opacity keyframes in Premiere Pro. Video overlays from your library reuse the same bundled source files, and external URL-based video overlays are downloaded and included in the ZIP.
- Motion keyframes -- any panning or horizontal motion applied to clips is preserved as keyframes on the Basic Motion filter, so camera moves carry over into Premiere.
- Audio tracks -- audio from your library clips is linked on the timeline, and any standalone audio clips are placed on separate audio tracks with their volume and speed settings intact. External audio sourced from URLs is also included -- the files are downloaded and bundled in the ZIP alongside your library media.
Unzip the file, import the project.fcp7.xml into Premiere Pro (File > Import), and you'll see your timeline ready to work with -- media linked, keyframes in place, and overlays on separate tracks above your video.
Why Use This Feature
StarZero Agents is great at the early stages of video editing -- finding the right clips, assembling a rough cut, selecting the best moments from long footage. But some finishing work is better done in a dedicated editor.
Start in StarZero Agents, finish in Premiere. Here's when this workflow makes sense:
- Adding transitions -- Dissolves, fades, wipes, and other transitions between clips.
- Color grading -- Adjusting the look and color of your footage.
- Advanced effects -- Motion graphics, compositing, green screen work.
- Complex audio mixing -- Layering music, sound effects, and multiple audio tracks.
- Custom titles and graphics -- Animated titles, logo animations, lower thirds with brand-specific styling.
- Final polish -- Fine-tuning every frame for broadcast or high-end delivery.
The Hybrid Workflow
- In StarZero Agents: Upload your footage. Use AI to search, analyze, and select the best clips. Assemble your rough cut. Add text overlays and set your timeline.
- Export: Download the Premiere Pro project file.
- In Premiere Pro: Import the project. Add transitions, color grading, advanced effects, custom graphics, and any finishing touches.
- Deliver: Export your final video from Premiere Pro.
This bridges the gap between AI-assisted editing and traditional post-production. You get the speed of AI for the time-consuming selection and assembly work, and the full power of Premiere Pro for creative finishing.
Tips
- You can use both exports -- download the rendered video from StarZero Agents for quick sharing, and the Premiere Pro project for a polished final version.
- The ZIP includes your original source files, so you won't need to relink media after importing. Text overlays and SVG overlays are placed on separate video tracks, ready to use or adjust in Premiere.
- This feature is available for any rendered video, whether preview or high-quality.
- You don't need Premiere Pro to use StarZero Agents. The export is an optional extra for teams that want the best of both worlds.
