/search — Quick Library Search
The /search command is the fastest way to find clips in your video library. It opens a dedicated search panel where you can browse results visually and select the clips you want to work with.
How to Use It
Type /search followed by what you're looking for:
/search sunset timelapse
/search interview about pricing
/search product demo close-up
/search "game changer"
The search panel slides open on the side of your screen, showing results as looping video previews.
Search Modes
The search panel offers three ways to find content:
Visual Search
Finds clips based on what's happening on screen. Great for:
- Scene types ("outdoor interview," "whiteboard presentation")
- Visual elements ("close-up shots," "screen recordings")
- Actions ("someone laughing," "handshake")
Transcript Search
Finds clips based on what was said. Great for:
- Specific quotes ("when she says 'we need to pivot'")
- Topics discussed ("talk about pricing," "mentions competition")
- Keywords and phrases
Unified Search
Combines visual and transcript search for the broadest results. This is the default mode and works well for most searches.
Browsing Results
Results appear as looping video previews, so you can quickly scan through them to find what you need. Each result shows a short preview of the clip, making it easy to judge at a glance whether it's what you're looking for.
Selecting Clips
When you find clips you want to use:
- Check the box on each clip you want to select
- Selected clips are now available in the chat
- Reference them in your next message: "Use these clips to create a 60-second highlight"
This makes it easy to curate a collection of clips before asking the AI to do something with them.
/search vs. Asking in Chat
Both approaches work, but they serve different purposes:

Use /search when you want to see options and choose yourself. Ask in chat when you want the AI to find and select the best clips for you.
Tips for Better Searches
- Be specific. "Interview about startup funding in 2024" finds better results than just "interview."
- Try different angles. If a transcript search doesn't find what you need, try a visual search or different keywords.
- Use quotes for exact phrases. Searching for "game changer" finds that exact phrase, not just clips about games or changes.
- Browse before selecting. Scroll through the results — sometimes the best clip isn't the first one.
- Combine with chat. Select clips from search, then ask the AI to analyze or rank them: "Which of these selected clips has the strongest opening?"
