/reload-settings — Re-apply Your Settings

The /reload-settings command refreshes the current chat with your latest saved settings. If you've updated your settings (models, rules, or other preferences) and want an existing chat to use them, this command applies those changes without starting a new conversation.

How to Use It

Type /reload-settings in the chat input and send it:

/reload-settings

That's it — no additional arguments needed. Your current settings are fetched and applied to the chat immediately.

When to Use It

• You changed your settings (model, rules, etc.) and want an already-open chat to pick them up.
• You're troubleshooting and want to make sure the chat is using your latest configuration.

Settings Mismatch Banner

You don't always need to remember this command. When StarZero Agents detects that a chat is using different settings from the ones you've saved, a banner appears above the message input. Click Update to reload your saved settings, or Dismiss if you'd prefer to keep the current chat settings as they are.

Good to Know

• The command only works when the chat is not actively processing a message. Wait for any in-progress response to finish before using it.
• The settings mismatch banner also disables the Update button while a message is being processed or the chat is disconnected.
• Your conversation history and timeline are preserved — only the settings change.
