How do I add new media to my library?
Upload your videos at app.starzero.ai. Once your files are uploaded and processed, StarZero Agents can work with them immediately in a new chat session.
Can StarZero Agents add transitions between clips?
No. StarZero Agents doesn't support transitions, fades, or crossfades. Clips play back-to-back. If you need transitions, export your project to Premiere Pro using the "Download Premiere Pro project" button and add them there.
Can StarZero Agents work with portrait videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)?
Yes. Ask for 9:16 rendering when you're ready to render. If your source material is landscape, provide focus hints to tell StarZero Agents what to keep centered in each clip (e.g., "Focus on the speaker's face").
Will StarZero Agents check content rights or licensing?
No. StarZero Agents assumes you have the necessary rights for all content in your library. You're responsible for ensuring you have permission to use and distribute the content you work with.
Can StarZero Agents add b-roll over a talking head?
Yes! You can add b-roll as an overlay on top of another clip using picture-in-picture or a full-screen overlay. See Overlays for details. You can also cut away to b-roll as a standalone clip in your sequence.
Can I speed up or slow down clips?
No. Playback speed changes (slow motion, fast forward, ramping, and reverse) are not currently supported.
Can I color grade or stabilize footage?
No. For color grading, stabilization, and visual effects, export your Premiere Pro project and apply those effects in a traditional editor.
How do I keep faces or products centered in portrait renders?
Provide per-clip focus hints when rendering in a non-native aspect ratio. Be specific about what should stay in frame:
"Focus on: the speaker's face"
"Focus on: the product in the presenter's right hand"
"Focus on: the whiteboard behind the speaker"
How do captions work?
Captions are auto-generated from the spoken dialogue in your video. You enable them for the whole project and choose a display style — word-highlight (current word changes color), background-highlight (a background box appears behind the current word), or word-by-word (words appear one at a time). You can customize the position, text color, and outline color.
Can I render in high quality without a watermark?
Yes. Request a high-quality render (full resolution, no watermark). StarZero Agents will ask you to confirm before starting, since high-quality renders cost credits. Always check your edit with a free low-quality preview first.
Can StarZero Agents browse the web?
StarZero Agents can perform web research to supplement its analysis — for example, looking up background information about a topic discussed in your video. It can also generate original images and videos using AI (see Image Generation and Video Generation), and you can add clips from external URLs. However, it cannot automatically search the web for media to include in your edit.
Can StarZero Agents fix caption mistakes?
Yes. If the auto-generated captions have errors, ask StarZero Agents to correct them with an approximate timestamp:
"Around 1:23, change 'use effect' to 'useEffect'"
"At about 5:40, change 'their' to 'there'"
Corrections apply to all future captions and renders for that content.
How do I start a new video project?
Create a new project within your current chat, or start a new chat if you want a fresh conversation. You can have multiple projects in a single chat and switch between them using the project dropdown in the editor.
What happens when I run out of credits?
StarZero Agents checks your balance before each action. If you don't have enough credits, a popup will let you know and offer a link to purchase more. You won't lose any work — your projects, chat history, and renders are all preserved. Add more credits at app.starzero.ai/pricing.
Can I use StarZero Agents on mobile?
Yes. The interface adapts for mobile devices with a swipeable sidebar and full-width chat area. You can search, review clips, and manage projects from your phone or tablet.
Can I export my project to Premiere Pro?
Yes. After rendering your video, click the "Download Premiere Pro project" button to get a project file you can import into Adobe Premiere Pro. This is great for adding transitions, color grading, effects, or any other finishing touches that go beyond StarZero Agents's capabilities.
Can multiple team members work on the same project?
Each chat session belongs to one user. To collaborate, one person can create the project and share the rendered output, or you can use workflows to standardize the production process across your team.
Does StarZero Agents modify my original video files?
Never. StarZero Agents always works with copies of your content. Your original uploaded files remain untouched no matter what edits you make.
