Video Editing

StarZero Agents lets you build video projects by assembling clips from your library, arranging them on a timeline, and adding finishing touches like captions, text overlays, and audio. You can do all of this through conversation, through the visual timeline editor, or a mix of both.

The Basic Workflow

Creating a video in StarZero Agents follows a natural flow:

  1. Find clips -- Search your library for the footage you need
  2. Add to project -- Place clips onto your timeline
  3. Arrange and trim -- Put clips in the right order and fine-tune their start and end points
  4. Add finishing touches -- Captions, text overlays, background music, or narration
  5. Render -- Export your final video

You don't have to follow these steps in strict order. You can add more clips later, rearrange at any time, or go back and change things you've already done.

Two Ways to Edit

By conversation: Tell StarZero Agents what you want in plain language. "Add a clip of the product demo after the introduction." "Trim the last clip by 2 seconds." "Move the interview segment to the beginning." StarZero Agents makes the changes and shows you the result.

By visual editor: Open the timeline editor to see your project laid out visually. Drag clips to reorder them, drag their edges to trim, and use the preview player to see how everything looks together.

Most people use a combination of both -- conversation for big-picture decisions and the visual editor for fine-tuning.

Multiple Projects Per Chat

You can create multiple video projects within a single chat and switch between them using the project dropdown in the editor. Only one project is active at a time, but all your projects are saved automatically when you switch. This makes it easy to experiment with different edits or create variations without losing earlier work.

Non-Destructive Editing

Everything you do in the editor is non-destructive. Your original library videos are never modified. Clips in your project are just references to specific portions of your source videos. You can always go back, change your selections, or start over without any risk to your original content.
