Visual Effects and Reframing
StarZero Agents gives you several ways to control how your video looks when you change its shape or want to add camera-like movement. Whether you're converting a landscape video into a vertical clip for TikTok or adding a slow zoom to a talking-head shot, these tools help you get there.
What You Can Do
Focus hints -- Tell StarZero Agents what to keep centered when cropping to a different aspect ratio. For example, "keep the speaker's face visible" when going from widescreen to portrait.
Keyframe-based pan and zoom -- Add smooth camera movements to your clips. You set positions and zoom levels at specific points in time, and StarZero Agents animates between them.
Auto-reframing -- When you render in a different aspect ratio than the source video, StarZero Agents automatically detects important content and keeps it in frame. You can fine-tune this with focus hints.
Aspect ratio selection -- Choose from a wide range of aspect ratios to match your target platform, from standard 16:9 for YouTube to 9:16 for TikTok and Reels.
Overlays -- Layer additional visual content on top of your video, including picture-in-picture video clips and SVG graphics with full control over positioning, scaling, cropping, and animation.
Split-screen layouts -- Show multiple views of the same video in any grid arrangement (up to 12 panels). The AI detects subjects in your video and automatically sets up panels with proper cropping for each person or region.
AI-generated SVG graphics -- Create custom vector graphics like title cards, lower-thirds, logos, badges, and animated elements using natural language descriptions.
AI image generation -- Generate custom images from text descriptions, with optional reference images for style guidance. Use generated images as clips, overlays, or starting frames for video generation.
AI video generation -- Generate video clips (3–10 seconds) from text descriptions, with AI-generated audio. Start from a prompt, an image, or a video reference. Restyle existing footage, edit generated videos with follow-up prompts, and chain clips for longer sequences.
What Is Not Supported
StarZero Agents focuses on reframing, camera movement, and overlays. The following effects are not available:
- Color grading or color correction
- Visual filters (black and white, sepia, etc.)
- Transitions between clips (dissolves, wipes, fades)
- Video stabilization
- Blur or mosaic effects
- Speed changes (slow motion, time-lapse)
If you need these kinds of effects, consider exporting your project as a Premiere Pro file and finishing in a dedicated video editor. See Premiere Pro Export for details.
Where to Start
If you're reformatting a video for a different platform, start with Aspect Ratio Options to pick your target format, then read about Focus Hints and Auto-Reframing to make sure the important parts of your video stay visible.
If you want to add motion to a static shot, head to Keyframe-Based Pan and Zoom.
If you want to layer graphics or video on top of your timeline, see Overlays and SVG Graphics.
